Electric Sheep, Prototypes of a Non-Human Composer

Recent progress in the ‘electric sheep’ project, which aims to create an artificial composer: a system that, through processes in one or more computers, will be able to write music in a non-random, independent way, with the least possible influence of the aesthetic taste or criteria of the programmer/ meta-composer. Presentation and description of the third complete prototype, 'oe3', and the first modules of 'oe4', which are investigating the generation of non-human aesthetic criteria based on nano-culture.

Experiences in working in the field of experimental music, sound art, sound installations, and audiovisual, reactive and interactive pieces. Topics related to experimental music in Latin America and the role of sound in the context of contemporary art will also be addressed.

Artists Jorge Haro, Santiago Peresón, Wilson Sukorski, Féliz Lazo, and Andrés Jankowski are part of the Iberoamerican artistic exchange project EXPerimentaclub+LIMb0, with the support of AECID (Spanish Agency for International Cooperation for Development).
