4th Inclusiva-net Meeting: guidelines and application form

Purpose of the call

The purpose of this call is the selection of a maximum of 10 theoretical and research papers around the subject matter of the 4th Inclusiva-net Meeting, for their public presentation during the event.

The open call is aimed at researchers, curators, artists, educators and any other professionals in any field related to the core topics of the meeting.

Rules for participants

Anyone interested in participating in this call must send a summary of their research and a brief curriculum vitae via the online application form published below. For a better evaluation of the applications, we recommend to send the complete text as an attached file, in addition to the summary.

Proposals may be presented as an individual or as a group. Each participant or team may present as many papers as they wish.

Only texts written in Spanish or English will be accepted.

Application deadline

The application deadline is 31 May 2009.

Selection process

Papers will be selected by the following committee:

- Joaquín Borrego Díaz. Associate Professor at the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Department of the Universidad de Sevilla.

- Antonio Lafuente. IResearcher at the Centre for Human and Social Sciences (CSIC) in the Science Studies Area. Director of the Commons Laboratory (Laboratorio del procomún) at Medialab-Prado.

- Juan Martín Prada. Director of the Inclusiva-net Platform. Associate Professor at the School of Social Sciences and Communications at the Universidad de Cádiz.

Selected papers will be announced on the 8 June 2009.

Valuation criteria

  • Adequacy of the research to the core topics of this second Inclusiva-net meeting.
  • Current status of the research process.

Public presentation

Selected works will be presented publicly by their authors throughout the meeting, in 20-minute sessions followed by a 10 minute debate.

Selected works will also be published at the Medialab-Prado website and they will be included in an e-book (Spanish /English). The final versions of the texts must not exceed 5.500 words.

Dead line for the delivering of the final version of the texts for their publication is 20 July 2008

Travel and lodging aid

Pending application, and for participants residing outside of Madrid, the organized of the meeting will cover travel and lodging expenses for one person per selected paper.
