Aims

A Bicycle Lane in Madrid is Possible focuses on developing a citizen approach and research on public space and the city, through the use of technological tools related to mapping, such as OpenStreetMap, WikiLoc, Ushahidi, Crowdmap, etc, and based on the participants knowledge, since they are the best informed as users of this means of transportation.

The final goal is to generate a dynamic multimedia map of the city of Madrid that includes the ideal bicycle lane proposed by the people that use bicycles as a means of transportation.

Addressed to

This workshop is addressed to all those who have an interest in designing an ideal bicycle lane in the city of Madrid, based on free software platforms available on internet and on the knowledge of those who ride a bicycle in the city of Madrid, as a means of transportation, for fun or as a workout. People can contribute what they know on the subject, and that will be the key to the workshop, since the resulting bicycle lane will be designed by each and every one of the people participating in the workshop.
