Theme Block 1. Photography and Internet

This block will explore topics such as:
-Stolen photography and new forms of appropriation and mixes
-Photography and self representation on social networks
-Photography, geo-navigators and location-based media
-Still images taken on video games and metaverses
-Personal photography boards and curated photographic images
-Self publication and blogs, portals and social networks specifically about photography
-"Apps" for photography, post-production and online sharing

Theme Block 2. Video and Internet

Some of the subjects covered here will be:
-Before and after amateur videos
-The "YouTube generation"?
-Viral phenomena based on video
-Video remix practices and videos found on the Web
-Past, present and future of interactive video
-Web series and "film for search engines and Web applications
-Web platforms for video creation

Theme Block 3. Aesthetics and Art Theory in the Age of Global Networks

-The aesthetics and technologies of connectivity
-Art theory and cyber culture
-Theory of artistic practices on the Internet. Most recent contributions

Theme Block 4. Literature and Internet / Literature about Internet

 -Internet in Literature: the Web as a work "theme"
-New formats and new forms of writing

Constitution of the discussion groups:

In addition to attending the various lectures and debate sessions, all free of charge, that will be organized related to each of the theme blocks, you can play a more active role in some of the discussion groups that we are going to create for each of the blocks, thus also having the opportunity to present your work (whether creative or theoretical research) at the sessions organized for that purpose.

To take part in some of these groups you should complete this form and indicate in the "Comments" field the group(s) in which you would like to take part. Once the registration period has ended, we will get in touch with you to give you the final schedule of sessions and coordinate your participation.

Call for the development of projects:

There will be an announcement soon of a call for the development of 2 projects open to collaboration, related to any of the contents comprising the four main theme blocks of this first series on the "Poetics of Connectivity": 

-Photography and Internet-Video and Internet-Aesthetics and Art Theory in the Age of Global Networks -Literature and Internet / Literature about Internet The projects presented can be of any type, although the way they are carried out should be based on the collaborative work methodology which is customary in all our workshops.

Selected projects will be carried out over a maximum period of five months, with the help of the series organizing team and that of all those persons who, through the call for collaborators, have shown an interest in participating in the projects’ development. There will be a small budget for the development of the projects.

The authors of the selected projects should commit to making periodic public presentations demonstrating the progress of their project, which will coincide with some of the meetings scheduled for the discussion groups.
