What is #NRVP?

#NRVP aims to share subjectivities which, thanks to the accessibility of video as a tool and its great role within social movements, enable new readings and new forms of dissemination, reflection and understanding of various socio-political contexts and events, overcoming regular mass media filters. From narrative, documentaries and fiction to the fields of video art and experimental audiovisuals, these works with images offer different ways to digest and represent the present.

#NRVP is not an affirmation but rather a question to be shared, a question which is answered from individual and collective experiences.

#NRVP creates a space for analysis and discussion of the power of accessibility of new technologies and their capacity to describe and write the present to collectively create what will be history someday.
#NRVP will be screened in Spain (Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Bilbao, Vitoria-Gasteiz, Sevilla), Argentina (Buenos Aires, Córdoba and San Juan), Chile (Santiago de Chile), Brazil (Río de Janeiro), Ecuador (Quito), Colombia (Bogotá, Medellín, Manizales), Costa Rica (San José) and Mexico (Mexico City), during the months of March, April and May 2012.

Encompassing five thematic areas-- Video-Inmediatez. Video-Mix Media. Video-Guerrilla. Video-Trailer. Video-Outsider-- the 38 audiovisual works selected to form part of the festival offer different forms of assimilating and representing the present.

The festival also includes works by guest artists such as Isaki Lacuesta, Marcelo Expósito, Daniel G. Andújar, Gabriela Golder and Gac Grupo DE Arte Callejero.
