The Centro de Cálculo at the Universidad de Madrid (1966-1973) pioneered experimenting and applying new computer technologies to artistic creation and research in Spain. The session will consist of a conversation between Ernesto García Camarero, former Associate Director and then Director of the Centro, and José Luis Alexanco, one of the artists who took part along with architects, programmers, and linguists in the Seminar on the Automatic Generation of Plastic Forms.
