Literary workshop Moralists and Decadents Today, Yesterday and Forever by Cristina Morales

The public program Mortals of the World, Unite! kicks off with the literary workshop Moralistas y decadentes hoy, ayer y siempre (Moralists and decadents today, yesterday and always), given by writer Cristina Morales.

The activity proposes to explore the spoilsport possibilities of literature, when it presents moral worlds opposed to our own and convinces us of their relevance. During the four-hour workshop, Cristina Morales will guide the registered participants through several scandalous and deconstitutive texts in order to, if not answer, at least raise the question about the equivalence between law and literature.

Those who register to participate in the workshop will receive the texts to be worked on during the workshop in advance, so that they can be read beforehand and the workshop will be more fruitful.

Mortals of the World, Unite! is a public program of debates, workshops and critical thinking sessions that will take place at Medialab Matadero between June and July 2024. Curated by Amaia Sánchez-Velasco and Jorge Valiente Oriol (from GRANDEZA STUDIO). The program is part of their research project Revisiting Titono: Tentacular Geographies of Eternal Youth.
