Low-tech story-making

Desde 30/10/2006 05:10 hasta 02/11/2006 08:11

Platform for collaborative creation where we will experiment with creation strategies using simple, low-cost technological tools to build narratives through participation.

To think and to make projects

This workshop aims to think about and put into practice small projects connecting the workshop space with the context around it, be that the physical surroundings (the Conde Duque hall or neighborhood) or the space of the Web, using everyday technologies in unusual ways leading to new situations through narration, conversation, games, or chance. For example, mp3 players, sound recorders, cell phones, email, blogs, and search engines may be used.

From the outset, through the proposals that participants can include in their registration form for the workshop, its practical aspects will be defined jointly by teachers and participants.

Therefore, in addition to investigating these technologies' potential, we will also study the proposals, looking for ways they can lead to narrative interventions. We will also hold a more general debate about the relevance of these projects in the field of interactive, performative artistic practices.
