Re-Make Sewing · 2024 - 2025

The Re-Make Sewing Workshop is a textile experimentation workshop for lovers of recovery and transformation of clothes and objects. It is a meeting point and intergenerational diversity where to share the creative process from sustainability as a bastion.

A space to awaken creativity, experiment and relax in the manual work, enhance and rescue what was done in the old days in the villages, exchange what you do not want or do not need, promoting intergenerational relationships, which are so enriching and less and less frequent in modern societies.

We are interested in recovering artisan and hand sewing techniques, to give life to new creations: embroidery, knitting, crochet, knitting, darning, basketry, printing, dyeing, among others. We work with recycled materials, used clothing, scraps, wool, thread, buttons, zippers and objects that inspire us.

There are no sewing classes, there are no teachers or students, each one develops their own project in freedom and autonomy, encouraging collaborative work; a moment of concentration and peace of mind, away from the hustle and bustle of the day, where we are just us chatting, reconnecting with ourselves, focused on the work we are doing, in the here and now.

*We are open to receive any donation of fabrics, clothes or scraps from companies and citizens, as well as threads and sewing materials.
