This exhibition showcases the interactive projects resulting from an intensive two week program of workshops and seminars, Interactivos?@Eyebeam: Better than the real thing. All the works play with the idea of reality, disbelief and the illusions we experience in our technologically mediated lives. Double Take is curated in collaboration with Sarah Cook, Eyebeam’s visiting curatorial fellow. The artists will present their work on Saturday, July 12, 4PM, followed by a reception at 6PM. Digital Day Camp projects will be added to the show on July 29 at a reception at 7PM.
Interactivos? was initiated two years ago by the Medialab-Prado in Madrid. This is the first time it has taken place outside Spain.
Interactivos?@eyebeam was initiated by Zach Lieberman, currently R&D OpenLab fellow at Eyebeam and also one of the initiators of the Interactivos? plattform in Madrid. It has been curated and produced by Eyebeam staff, fellows and residents. Lead Tutors: Taeyoon Choi, Eyebeam commissioned resident artist; Friedrich Kirschner, Eyebeam Production Lab fellow; and Zachary Lieberman, Eyebeam R&D OpenLab fellow.
