Planning the journey

Here is the schedule we'll try to follow.

First week (16 - 22 June)

Prototype development:

To start:

- Build Arduino sensors system.

- Setting bluetooth connection and test communication between Android and Arduino.

- Set a template to use with Android-processing-Puredata inside Eclipse....

Then

- Familiarize with sensors (gyoscope, accelerometer and compass data). look for rhythm and musical patterns...

- Musical and rhythm research with Puredata. What kind of sounds?  how are they triggered? what properties of the music we can use?...

- Practical testing, how is working all the system in use, all the pieces together.?

- What are the "scenes" that we can create for the application. It depends of the research, some ideas are: Rhythm walk, stand experimentation, the music of some task....

Second week (23-28 June)

Programming solutions:

- Design a basic User Interface for the Android App

- Design a visualization of the data. made in Processing

- Implement the final Android App

- Street test and documentation process

Design solutions:

- How are we going to hold all the systems in our limbs?, and where exactly?

-------------------------------

Talking about the softwares involved in the project:

- 4 Sensor systems, scattered in the body . Each one with an Arduino Nano, here is where we are going to make the first process of the data:

- we'll look for patterns in the data gotten from the interaction (Arduino programming).

- we'll send the selected data to the Android Device via bluetooth

- Once in the Android the data will be used to generate a visual feedback, using Processing to do so.

- While we have this visual response, the data will be sent to Puredata to generate the sound that the person are gonna be listening.
