Bases de datos

Para nuestro proyecto, hemos recopilado los presupuestos del Estado y de las CCAA y ciudades autónomas entre los años 2012 y 2014. Por supuesto, todos están en PDF. Además, cada administración estructura la publicación de sus presupuestos de forma diferente, de modo que hemos tenido que bucear para encontrar el conjunto de datos que necesitábamos para este trabajo. En este momento, los tenemos "en bruto" (muy en bruto) y aún no hemos comenzado a extraerlos, tarea que esperamos comenzar a abordar durante la primera sesión presencial del taller. También tenemos pendiente decidir cómo clasificar la infomación de forma homogénea para poder analizarla y que los resultados que obtengamos sean válidos.

Nos queda mucho trabajo por delante, pero estamos deseando ponernos manos a la obra.

For our project, we have gathered information from the Spanish central State and the regions' budgets for years 2012 to 2014. Of course, they are all PDF's. Besides, every administration releases its budgets in a different way, so we have had to dive a little bit to find the right dataset for this project. At this stage, we have the raw data (really raw!) and we haven't started with the extracting process yet, something we hope to deal with during the first workshop session. We also have still to decide how to classify the information in a homogeneous way to be able to analyse it and assure that the results are valid. 

There is still a lot of work to be done, but we are looking forward to getting down to it.
